1. does the wts date the end the 70 years as soon as the babylonian exiles returned to the land, or when they started the building of the altar?.
(ezra 2:68 makes it clear that the returnees arrived early enough for the exiles to be settled in their own towns (verse 70) well before they started to build the altar in the seventh month of an unidentified year (3:1)).. .
2. why were the returnees frightened of the people around them when they started to build the altar (ezra 3:3)?
Thanks, Isaac. It wasn't until I finished this paper on 607 that it really sunk in how utterly ridiculous their date is, pure fabrication. Only those whose power of reason has been compromised can honestly believe Jerusalem was destroyed in 607. Now, if only more people would take that little extra effort to read and study it ....

This short piece should greatly help you understand this issue.

hey!.
i went to my first meeting last week and, well, i guess i want to write some thoughts about how a meeting is for an 'outsider' :-) .
JONATHAN DOUGH: I have read your site and, well, i didnt mean to imply that i think the trinity is anti-biblical, rather that i dont understand the evience for and against.
That section alone is 60,000 words long so I doubt you actually read the site; maybe glanced at a few sentences. The evidence you are looking for is in there, in depth.
609- nabopolassars 17th reignal year.
607- nabopolassars 19th reignal year.

The Watchtower Society in its publication Let Your Kingdom Come and elsewhere confirm that the seventy year period ended only upon the Jews’ return to Judah, and not before.
"The 70 years expired when Cyrus the Great, in his first year, released the Jews and they returned to their homeland. (Chronicles 36:17 - 23)"
"The Bible prophecy does not allow for the application of the 70-year period to any time other than that between the desolation of Judah, accompanying Jerusalem's destruction, and the return of the Jewish exiles to their homeland as a result of Cyrus' decree." - Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 1, p. 463."
my father (who's an elder) just sent me this link...and i'd like to get yall opinions on it before i call him back:.
apostates and other opposers argue that jerusalem was not destroyed in 607 bce, but in 587 bce, and provide what they claim is archaeological evidence to support this.
if 607 bce is wrong, then the seven times prophecy ending in 1914 ce would be wrong also.. .
I wrote a very detailed article/paper on the 607 issue. The JWs really do not have a leg to stand on. They have recently switched to letting the "Bible" speak for itself eventhough the archeological evidence is so strong against them. But their theory is simply a myth.
hello friends,.
my dad just found this article when doing some research for a letter he was sending my aunt and grandmother showing them how unscriptural shunning is.
i was blown away!!
Does anyone know if drinking wine out of a cup can be traced to "pagan" roots?
